Artist. Producer. CEO.
Independent West Coast rapper, hip-hop producer and record label founder.
A rap star who owns the business behind the music. Flow187 never waited for the industry to open a door. He built his own.
Born Robert “Rob” Roots in Queens, New York, and raised between Miami, East Atlanta and Los Angeles, Flow187 picked up music at 12 and turned it into a career built on one rule: stay on the hustle and never let anyone stop the mission. That mindset runs through every record, from early street anthems like “So Potent,” “Shout Out To My Bank” and “Get Money Forever” to his 2018 album The Wave.
He writes, raps and produces his own music, and his catalog now runs past 40 releases on every major streaming platform. His collaborators read like a map of hip-hop’s underground and mainstream: Max B on “187 Coke Wave,” YN Jay on “Coochie Flow,” Tony Shhnow on “Keep Getting Better,” plus Young Deji, RX PESO, Texako, TSF El Train, Yuk Mouth, Atlanta’s D4L and Lil Jon’s Trillville. Along the way he built affiliations with French Montana’s Coke Boys Records and Hood Rich Entertainment. He keeps pushing his sound too, from the project Sounds from Flow 187 (2025) to the R&B-leaning 187 RNB Demo Tapes (2026).
His music moves through the same pipelines as the industry’s biggest names. Flow187 has distribution with EMPIRE, the independent powerhouse behind some of hip-hop’s biggest records, and Create Music Group, one of the largest independent music companies in the world. In 2026 he was at the EMPIRE Grammy Party as part of the family.
What separates Flow187 is ownership. He is the founder and CEO of Roots Music Group Inc, an independent Los Angeles label that develops new talent and gives artists a bigger share of what they create, and he personally manages rapper RX PESO, with plans to take on more artists through the label. He runs his own beat store and sells production tools like the Wave Tsunami drum kits, teaches musicians how to form an LLC and secure business funding, and founded Potent Roots, a premium cannabis and streetwear lifestyle brand.
He is also a published author. His motivational book Falling Isn’t Failing, co-signed by Les Brown and actor Tommy Ford, helps young people take ownership of their choices and stand strong against peer pressure. It is the same message he lives by: every setback is a setup for the comeback.

RX PESO
RX PESO, also known as Drugrixh Peso, is an Atlanta-born rapper whose story is rooted in the city’s hip-hop culture. His passion for music began early: by middle school, he was writing his own lyrics and developing his voice. Sharing his tracks online helped him attract attention and build a reputation as an emerging Atlanta artist. Collaborations followed as he continued carving out his place in rap. Today, his catalog includes FREAK DROP, distributed by RMG Empire.
